The tone

Write like you’d talk to a friend who trusts your taste. Praise what deserves it, be honest about what doesn’t, and keep it about the place, not the person who posted it.

Some content is removed on sight and, where the law requires, reported:

• Child sexual abuse material — zero tolerance, always reported to the authorities.
• Intimate imagery shared without consent.
• Anything otherwise illegal under Indian law.
• Hate or harassment: attacks on people for who they are, threats, or piling on someone.
• Promotion of violence or self-harm.
• Spam, scams, and deceptive links.
• Impersonating a person, a business, or OutsiderMap itself.
• Content that infringes someone else’s work.

Keep the map honest

The whole product is trust in what’s on the map. Don’t submit places that don’t exist, prices you haven’t seen, or verifications for spots you never visited. Scout points earned by gaming verification are reversed, and repeat offenders lose the ability to submit or validate.

What happens when rules break

Enforcement is a ladder, not a trapdoor: a warning first for most things, restrictions on posting or contacting others for repeat or serious cases, and account closure for the worst or the persistent. The zero-tolerance categories above skip the ladder. Every enforcement decision can be appealed from inside the app, and appeals are reviewed by a human within the statutory timelines.

Reporting and blocking

Every post, comment, and profile carries a report action; reports about a person are reviewed with priority. Blocking someone makes the two of you mutually invisible — everywhere, both directions. Grievances and their timelines are handled as described in our privacy policy, and the terms of use make these guidelines binding.
